Your Playing Standard
Players are divided into groups according to
their playing standard. It doesn’t matter whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player, but the more we
know about your level of play, the easier it is to put you in the right group. So let us know:
- How long you have been playing
- How often you play
- If you are a beginner, are you a complete beginner or a beginner/improver?
- If you are an intermediate – always a big group! – is that lower,
middle or upper intermediate?
- If you have an LTA rating
- If you have played competitively before
- If you prefer tougher matches (even if you don’t win) or easier matches
(with more chance of success!)
- If you play anyone who is already in the league
But
please don't worry too much! If you are too strong for your opponents in the first round, you will meet tougher opposition
next time; if you don't fare so well, next time you’ll get matches more geared to your standard of play.
