Why the new site? The Westway Tennis League is part of
a growing family of tennis leagues. Keeping them together in one place will help our administration. It will also free us
from pop-up ads etc. Please bookmark the new site. Scores for the current will now be updated on the new site (sorry for any
inconvenience). This site will remain for the time being as an archive.

Welcome to the Westway Tennis League!
Round one is currently underway and will run until Sunday 1 November,
2009
LEAGUE MEMBERS GET A SPECIAL DISCOUNT OF £6 OFF PEAK TIME COURTS (Monday-Friday,
8am-5pm).
Designed to offer a simple structure to play competitive matches on local public courts, the
league works like this:
- It's a mixed singles league
- It’s divided into groups of about 6 or 7 players of a similar standard
- Everyone in their group plays everyone else on any of the courts at the Westway
- Matches are the best of three tie break sets (allow 2 hours per match)
- It’s up to everyone to arrange their own matches
- You get one point for every set you win.
- At the end of the round, the top one or two players go up to the next group, and the bottom one or two go down.
- You get a FREE can of balls and TWO bonus points if you complete three matches by the half way point
- Everyone who wins their group wins £20 AND one of our mighty fine certificates.
- What's not to like? Why not give it a go!
